Data & Reporting Analyst – Utilities Sector
Location: Peterborough.
Contract or permanent role.
Remuneration- £50-60,000 based on experience Contract rates £400-£450 per day.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data & Reporting Analyst to support a major utilities client in delivering high-quality, insightful reporting on their Investment Programme. This role is pivotal in ensuring data integrity, performance tracking, and predictive analysis across their portfolio within their project controls department.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain corporate reports using Microsoft Power BI
- Integrate and link data streams from multiple corporate systems
- Deliver a unified view of Central Services performance against business plans
- Create both standardised and bespoke reports based on stakeholder needs
- Ensure data accuracy, validation, and consistency across reporting outputs
- Manage data extraction and scheduled refreshes
- Provide predictive analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant field with an analytics focus
- Proficiency in Power BI and knowledge of project controls tools P6, and SAP
- Proven experience in professional business reporting
- Strong data extraction and manipulation skills in a corporate environment
- High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in performance data analysis and predictive modelling
