Project Quantity Surveyor – Renewable energy

Salary Range: £60,000 – £80,000 per annum + a bonus of up to 30%, a company share scheme, and core benefits.

We are excited to present an outstanding career opportunity to work a forward-thinking organisation working within the renewable energy field who are set for significant planned growth . We are seeking a highly skilled Project Quantity Surveyor for an exciting Battery Storage Project based in the southeast region. This ambitious project involves a £30 million capital spend and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.

As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be looking to maximise gross margin through the placement and control of contracts/subcontracts and the management of the contracting supply chain. Furthermore, you will be assessing and reviewing commercial and contractual risks, authorising, and submitting project variations, issuing certification, applications for payment, and managing change under the NEC4 contract.

Role Requirements:

·        Degree level qualification, ideally within a construction-related discipline.

·        Ideally a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

·        Experience in design and delivery phases, working for tier 1 or tier 2 contracting organisations on major UK projects.

·        Demonstrable NEC3/4 knowledge.

·        Proven quantity surveying expertise covering change, variations, applications for payment, certifications, reconciliation, and re-baselining.

·        Excellent communication skills.

·        Sector expertise from oil & gas, renewable energy, heavy engineering, electrical mechanical or infrastructure required.
