Senior PCM to Associate Director level

£75,000 – £85,000 + car/private healthcare/bonus

Our client, a leading consultancy specialising in Planning and Project Controls, is in the process of expanding its established Project Controls team and is seeking an experienced individual for the role of Associate Director.

In this position, the Associate Director will play a pivotal role in advancing critical project work within a multi-billion-pound rail programme. The responsibilities encompass a range of activities, including cost-related tasks, Project Management initiatives, and the standard Project Control functions expected at this level. The role involves overseeing a team of 28 staff members (including 4 direct reports), emphasising strong leadership capabilities to ensure alignment of teams and systems towards common goals and cohesive collaboration.

Experience required:

  • Expertise in Planning & Project Controls Toolsets: Demonstrable proficiency in utilising planning and project controls tools, including strong knowledge in cost management, Primavera P6, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk assessment, gained through extensive experience on major projects.
  • Programme/ PMO Knowledge: A thorough understanding of Program Management Office (PMO) processes and their integration within overall project delivery.
  • Industry Sector Expertise: Knowledge and experience in the UK-based industry sectors, particularly within Infrastructure, such as aviation, civil engineering/construction, utilities, and rail.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary teams effectively.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in stakeholder management and engagement.
