Senior Project Planner – Contract.

Contract rates £500+ per day, inside of IR35

Our client, a major infrastructure consultant requires a Senior Planner P6 to assist across a major programme to provide a detailed optioneering advisory. You will work as part of the project team to establish cost options for a major programme of infrastructure civil engineering and railway works.

Key focuses of this role will be on how the UK mainline railway infrastructure can interface with the overall programme. Schedules are being developed in Primavera P6. Working effectively with various levels of stakeholders is key, so excellent communication skills, verbal and written are a must.

Key skills and experience required:

·        Experience in a Senior Project Planning role within a complex project/programme environment.

·        Mainline UK railways expertise is a must.

·        Ability to produce high-level reports.

·        Coordinate project controls activities and the change management process, ensuring risk and impacts to the baseline are effectively assessed and managed.

·        Experience with Primavera P6, ability to create plans from 1st principles, ‘what if’ planning, manage issues and mitigate slippage to drive delivery.

·        Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate data and information, and to influence and challenge at all levels.
