An incredible opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Commercial Manager to take on the challenge of working with our client, a well-established UK Main Contractor, for a highways scheme. This particular project includes working on; bypasses, drainage improvements, carriageway construction, public realm, cycle highways and surfacing and other infrastructure projects.

Your role as Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Commercial Manager will be to commercially support numerous projects in both pre and post tender phases, providing final accounts. commercial reports and advising the bid management and senior management teams. Furthermore, you’ll be responsible for procuring and managing subcontractors. It is essential that you have experience working with NEC contracts option C, it’s ideal if you have a degree although not mandatory, however you must the relevant expertise for this sector. 

Key Responsibilities: 

. Issuing of the relevant notices and negotiating/ agreeing the final accounts. 

. Managing costs and ensuring the project is delivered within the budget as well as the procurement programme. 

· Assess and agree with relevant parties the cost and value of work done monthly, including variations and projected final costs when required 

· You will establish and agree amounts due to Sub-contractors and Suppliers, (including final accounts, serve notices required under the various contract forms, and raise & issue documents to enable payment by the final dates for payments). 

· Provide valuations/applications/invoices as required by the contract and progress certificates and payments. 

· Preparing claims for value/time.
