Our Client, one of the world’s leading construction consultancies, is seeking an ambitious, motivated Commercial Manager to work on infrastructure commissions.
As Commercial Manager you will be experienced in delivering major infrastructure projects, with a background in highways, rail, utilities or other civil engineering delivery.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to support project leaders in maintaining high standards of service delivery in a challenging and fast-moving environment, while achieving successful outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Providing accurate commercial and cost management advice and reporting to clients.
- Leading or supporting the successful delivery of projects.
- Liaising with other Managers to ensure efficient financial control.
- Undertaking service delivery with minimal supervision and guidance.
- Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.
- Providing commercial management support to the broader project team.
- Developing strong collaborative relationships with client and clients’ supply chain staff that will support the achievement of project goals.
- Negotiating and corresponding with clients.
Required Skills/ Qualifications:
- Degree or apprenticeship in a related discipline.
- Knowledge and experience of NEC3.
- Professional institution membership (CICES, RICS, ICE, etc).
- Qualified or working towards qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant sectors.
- Technical delivery experience gained within civil engineering projects.
- Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills.
- Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute.
- A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
