Payment: £500 – £550 per day (Inside IR35)
Our client, a leading independent construction consultancy, is currently looking for a Construction Planner to join their well-established team. This role will focus on infrastructure projects across the UK. It is a remote working contract position.
As a Construction Planner, you will be responsible for contributing to the successful planning and execution of a major Government Programme. You will work closely with various stakeholders to develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring timely and efficient completion of construction activities. Your expertise in Oracle Primavera P6 and/or MS Project will be crucial in analysing project data, identifying critical paths, and providing valuable insights to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to create comprehensive construction schedules, taking into account project objectives and resource availability.
- Utilise Oracle Primavera P6 and/or MS Project to develop, maintain, and update project schedules, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project milestones.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and propose proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
- Conduct risk assessments and contingency planning to minimise potential disruptions and maintain project timelines.
- Provide regular reports and updates to project management and stakeholders, highlighting progress, potential risks, and suggested adjustments to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner in complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- In-depth knowledge of construction project planning principles, scheduling techniques, and critical path analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in project schedules and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks, while also being a team player.
