We are currently seeking a skilled Program Manager to join our established team working on a fibre project for a utility client.
As a Program Manager, you will hold a senior position within a dynamic Construction Management Office, dedicated to achieving the client’s capital build plans and goals. Your primary responsibility will be leading the program for enabling multi dwelling units (MDUs) before the fibre installation.
Collaborating closely with various departments such as Field, Planning, and Commercial, you will play a crucial leadership role in ensuring the successful delivery of this significant capital program for the client.
This will involve closely monitoring performance, assessing priorities, and maintaining the program’s momentum. You will be responsible for monitoring schedules, costs, risks, and performance data, aligning them with the contract routes established by the Commercial team. Additionally, you will provide early insights into any potential deviations from the program plan and propose appropriate remedial actions to mitigate risks and seize opportunities. This role is based at our client offices in London and requires a minimum of three days on-site presence.
Required Skills
- Hold a degree in a relevant field
- Possess approximately 7+ years of experience, preferably in the telecommunications sector
- Have an engineering background
- Professional qualifications/memberships are preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated experience managing large, high-profile capital programs
- Excellent understanding of complex supply chains, including associated risks and opportunities, with a focus on risk mitigation and opportunity maximization
- Strong analytical, IT, and interpretational skills
- Proven experience in collaborating with supply chain members, facilitating knowledge sharing and learning
- Effective networking, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to build close relationships with clients, resolving issues, and exceeding client expectations
