An independent construction consultancy is currently searching for a highly skilled and experienced Cost Engineer to join a nuclear energy project based in London. This role offers a unique opportunity to be a key participant in critical infrastructure-based initiatives.
Being a Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the cost performance, including forecasting and ensuring the project’s success. This position allows for a flexible work arrangement, with the option to work 2-3 days in the office and/or 2-3 days from home.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing detailed project progress, status, cost, and risk reports using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Utilising cost management systems such as PRISM, with experience in interfacing with corporate finance systems like SAP and Oracle.
- Demonstrating proficiency in identifying alternative solutions and driving efficiencies to support project scope, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Conducting thorough analysis and verification within the project controls domain, with a focus on sub-contractor cost and earned value reporting.
