Senior Estimator – Major Capital Project

We require experienced Senior Estimators to assist a key consultancy client supporting a major industrial development in northern Sweden.

The project is a major development integrating green hydrogen production, ironmaking and steelmaking on a single site. We are looking for experienced estimators with a strong background in major capital projects, heavy industry, energy, process plants or similarly complex construction environments.

The key areas of focus will include preparing, reviewing and validating estimates, quantity and rate build-ups, benchmarking, contractor quotations and the assessment of change estimates.

The role will require someone comfortable working within a large project environment, providing robust estimating support and challenging and validating cost information where required.

Candidate requirements:

• Significant estimating experience on major capital projects.
• Strong background in major infrastructure, industrial, energy, steel, metals or process environments.
• Experience preparing and reviewing detailed cost estimates.
• Strong understanding of quantity and rate build-ups.
• Experience with benchmarking and contractor quotation review.
• Experience preparing and validating change estimates.
• Good knowledge of AACE estimate classifications.
• Sterling DCS experience would be an advantage.
• Ability to maintain a regular on-site presence.

We are interested in speaking with contractors currently based in Sweden or elsewhere in the EU who are able to relocate or travel regularly to UK-based contractors willing to consider an inside IR35 engagement will also be considered.
