Senior P6 Planner – Civil Engineering / NEC

6 month initial rolling contract – Outside IR35

£550–600 per day

We require a Senior P6 Planner to assist a key client with a major workload. The projects are complex civil engineering work packages on a major UK infrastructure programme, and the ideal candidate will require a solid background in civil engineering and NEC contracts.

The key areas of focus will be programme management and planning support around compensation events and change. This will include assessing the programme impact of change, supporting delay analysis, identifying critical path impacts and providing planning input into NEC compensation events.

The role will require someone comfortable working closely with commercial, project controls and delivery teams, using Primavera P6 to assess and demonstrate the programme impact of change and support the progression of compensation events with the client.

Candidate requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in planning or project controls roles.
• Strong background in infrastructure and civil engineering.
• Advanced Primavera P6 experience.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts, compensation events and change control.
• Experience assessing programme impact, delay and critical path.
• Experience supporting compensation events and providing programme substantiation.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and programme logic.
• Comfortable working alongside commercial, project controls and delivery teams.
• Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• UK right to work and driving licence (occasional site visits).
