Current Infrastructure and Data Centre Opportunities with Infraspec

Infraspec is currently recruiting across a range of major infrastructure, rail, energy and data centre programmes in the UK and overseas. Updated October 2026.
Our current opportunities cover Planning, Project Controls, Risk, Cost Management, Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying and Estimating. We are recruiting for both permanent and contract positions, with opportunities available remotely and across London, Birmingham, Peterborough, Woking, Oxford, Essex, Dublin and Sweden.
The roles vary considerably in scope. Some require specialist experience of NEC contracts, change control, quantitative risk analysis, programme management or Primavera P6, while others focus on cost control, estimating and commercial management across major programmes.
Below is an overview of some of the current opportunities being supported by Infraspec.
Planning, Project Controls, Risk and Commercial Opportunities
We are currently supporting clients with a range of infrastructure requirements, including:
- Senior Quantity Surveyors working on major rail programmes
- Commercial Managers with experience of cost variation assessment and commercial audits
- Risk Analysts and Senior Risk Managers supporting major rail infrastructure
- Cost Engineers across infrastructure and energy programmes
- Project Controls Managers supporting data centre projects
- Quantity Surveyors and Managing Quantity Surveyors with NEC4 experience
- Planning, Estimating and Cost professionals for a major programme in Sweden
The opportunities include permanent and contract positions, with a mixture of office-based, remote and hybrid working arrangements.
The first graphic lists rates and salary ranges for each opportunity. These include contract rates from £450 to £600 per day and permanent salary ranges extending to £90,000, depending on the position, location and experience required.
Data Centre Opportunities in Sweden
Infraspec is also recruiting for a major data centre programme in Sweden.
The programme requires experienced professionals across Planning, Estimating, Cost Management and Change Management. EU right-to-work status is preferred, and the advertised opportunities include permanent salaries of £50,000 to £90,000 depending on experience, as well as potential inside-IR35 contract arrangements.
Construction Planners
The roles involve leading the planning function on major projects, including:
- Schedule development and integration
- Progress measurement
- Critical-path analysis
- Contractor coordination
Primavera P6 experience is essential, while PlanLab experience would be advantageous.
Lead Estimators
There are also six Lead Estimator positions.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing, reviewing and validating estimates
- Developing quantity and rate build-ups
- Benchmarking
- Reviewing contractor quotations
- Preparing and validating change estimates
Knowledge of AACE estimate classifications is required, while experience of Sterling DCS would be beneficial.
Cost Manager
The Cost Manager position will support major-project cost management, including:
- Budget control
- Commitments and expenditure
- Forecasting
- Variance analysis
- Reporting
Experience of Contruent or a similar cost-management system would be advantageous.
Cost and Change Manager
The Cost and Change Manager opportunity combines cost-management responsibilities with the assessment and management of project changes.
The role includes validating cost impacts, maintaining change registers and supporting project governance and approvals. Experience of Contruent or a similar system, together with Autodesk Construction Cloud, would be beneficial.
